Bulletin of Basrah Natural History Museum

The Bulletin of Natural History Museum is one of the oldest scientific publications that issued by the University of Basrah. This journal was established according to Article II - D of the instructions of the Museum of Natural History, which was approved in the ninth session of the Council of the University of Basrah for the academic year 1972-1973. The first issue of this annual journal was published in June 1974 to be the start-up launch for this important achievement, which was concerned with the biological aspect of the environment of the southern region of Iraq, especially the aquatic life of that environment, so it was one of the important scientific sources for researchers and those interested in this regard. Indeed, many new species were recorded for the first time in this journal, which has been published since its inception in the English language.
